I am an amateur, and generally I train and show my own horses. But I know when I need professional help and I'm not afraid to ask for it! I count many fine professional trainers as my good friends and from time to time, they assist me either at a show, for a few weeks before a show or over a winter. I love the thrill of competing with a horse I've worked myself, or bred, or purchased. The color of the ribbon isn't as important as how well the horse and I show together. Thanks to all of you for sharing your great wealth of knowledge! I am continually amazed by what I can learn when I keep my ears and mind open.
