FOALED APRIL 2nd, 2007: CHESTNUT COLT, connected star, strip, snip and two tall hind stockings. Big, pretty headed and talented, as we expected. We were hoping for a filly to replace Glowy, but this colt is everything we hoped for in spite of his being a HE! Full of vim and vigor, he is very independent and we are just now able to get him to slow down for some wonderful trotting photos. He is now beginning to shed out and looks like he will be a very dark chestnut, which should be striking with his contrasting white!
He is unlike so many of the narrow, stringy Morgan foals you see these days. This colt is powerful, deep bodied, with lots of attitude and presence. His beautiful head and tiny, well shaped ears come from his father. His dam contributed her incredible, four-cornered trot and substance like nothing you've seen today. I like this colt so much, I tried to breed his dam back to Century Nightmusic for a repeat in 2008, unfortunately, she didn't take. So this lovely colt may be the only product of this cross.

Gelding foaled June 2, 2006. A full sibling to Champions WINDEN REIGN and WINDEN BALI HAI. This cross has proven to be exceptional and we expected no less from the 2006 edition. Gelding foaled April 21, 2004. This now 4 yr old gelding started out with a bang as the 2004 Jubilee Regional Weanling Colt Champion and Jubilee Futurity Weanling Colt Champion. Unfortunately, his next owners did not see the potential in him that we do. Reign is a BIG guy (about 15.2 now and still growing) with a lot of snort and blow and attitude, a beautiful head and eye, extremely upright neckset and a wonderful, smooth body. He is green broke to saddle, longlines well enough to hook, but we have not hooked him yet. I believe he will be an outstanding saddle horse. He has great bone, very straight and correct legs and the farrier says he sports the best feet he's seen in a long time! The photos below show him with plates behind and in front, and about a 4.5" toe length--no pads or weight.
He is now well started under saddle and is looking like a very solid English Pleasure prospect for 2008, with plans to show him in May or June. Currently in training with Alicia Fraser at Scottfield Stables in Montrose, PA, Alicia has wonderful things to say about Reign and just loves him. You will be hard-pressed to find a four year old gelding of this quality, size and potential at a reasonable price.
